The Poetry Archive is looking to expand our pool of copywriters in the lead up to our new Poetry of India collection. All copywriting will need to be completed between January and February 2024, for our launch of the collection in late March as part of this year’s National Poetry Day.

For the Poetry of India collection, we would love to hear from copywriters from an Indian cultural background and ideally with an understanding of the poetry and history of the Indian sub-continent.

Our copywriters provide our visitors with accessible information about the poet’s life and career and introduce them to the poet’s work. We balance the need of academic level accuracy and expertise with the need for our copywriting to be understandable to our public visitors and act as an introduction to the poet’s work. We’re looking for copywriting that is clear, with easy-to-follow analysis of poetry that illuminates and contextualises the work of our poets.
