Peter Gizzi (born 1959) is a critically acclaimed American poet and editor known for lyric poetry that explores contemporary life, loss, and the "bewilderment" of citizenship. A finalist for the National Book Award and winner of the T.S. Eliot Prize for Fierce Elegy (2023), he teaches at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
