Extract from The 5th Horseman of the Apocalypse

Watch the fat and fulsome
Starve. Watch the rich
And powerful waste away.
The dreams go first,
The empty plate of dreams,
And then starvation begins.
The fifth horseman drags
Away truth and courage
And those abstractions
Which bleak on the page
Keep the juices of man
Alive, keep his ribs
Pliant and his belly tight.
