Scarecrow

There’s a man in the corn

Rest easy my dear

With red on his hands

Poppies my dear

He’s crowned with storm-birds

Quickthorn my dear

I saw his face in the lightning’s fork

Sockets clear my dear

The driven rain was the world’s wide tear

Just so my dear

If I laid my eyes in, would you take him down?

O no my dear
