House of Words 

Where the dampness seeps in  

at walls and windows. 

 

So I write the words backwards  

on the glass. Birds bring messages, 

  

wind turns anger into  

deafness. I write out sorrow  

 

on sheets and pillow cases. 

I have a dictionary of hope  

 

on my bedside table,  

its sound of words like bees rising.
